The X31 LoDrag II is the newest generation of our LoDrag pack. Designed to be highly functional, minimalist, lightweight tactical packs, the X31 incorporates a tactical weapon-sized scabbard. It has a unique contour shape that tapers at both the top and the bottom, giving the pack an excellent close-to-the-body ride.

The packs are fully compressible with pairs of side-mounted compression straps that draw the load upward to optimally position the pack's contents over the wearer's center-of-gravity. New to the X31, the LoDrag II has two new generously sized form-following pockets on the exterior of the upper and lower front flaps. MOLLE-10 lightweight webbing is used, to which you can attach conventional 25mm MOLLE accessories.

The interior features include a hydration sleeve (water bladders sold separately), two document / laptop sleeves, a mesh zippered pocket, MOLLE compatible webbing, and a fold-away shelf that allows you to either segregate or combine the top and bottom interior load space. Built in 420 denier ripstop nylon. Comes with our polycarbonate Gossamer frame, which can be interchanged with the aluminum Intex II frame (sold separately).

The X31 can be combined with the GSTC Butt Cover (not included but available as a separate accessory), to fully enclose a weapon up to 60" in length.

This is a much bigger pack than I accustomed to use when hunting. The various zipped compartments prove to be useful to segregate items to keep them accessible.

If Thor went to Odin, and said "Hey dad, I need a ruck and what I have just isn't cutting it"
Odin would respond with "Here son, and you can even fit Mjölnir in the back when you wanna just throw hands. And it can even fit 2 large breasted viking chicks in the rest."

I purchased the X3 LoDrag recently to replace an old assault pack I had to retire. The assault pack was my everyday carry pack with my personalized 72 hr. +/get home/bug out bag. I needed a bag big enough to carry this plus a bit of whatever else I would need in every day civilian life. For example: various items that I may need at the gym (clamps, towel, canteen for water) to several hygiene items. I personally got tired of always having to swap out a "gym" bag or a "work" bag and still having another tactical bag for whatever you fancy for that you need to run around with. So over the years I've been able to balance out my bug-out items and every day creature comforts into a pack that fits into every gym locker that I've come across. I had been looking at packs ranging below the $200 mark, but just didn't get a warm fuzzy with any of them. The salty aluminum frame mountain ruck that I still have is quite large and is packed to the brim as my ultimate SHTF living back in the stone age bag. The X3 was what I was looking for. For an assault sized pack without an aluminum frame, it is the most comfortable pack I have ever used hands down. The issue I had with most assault sized packs was the mix of shoulder strap padding and back support. Some would have a bit here and there, but most just didn't cut it. I carry this with me where ever I go: the office, the gym, I take it to go camping, and the good ole' pack runs. The shoulder and back support is phenomenal!

POU - Philosophy of Use: everyday carry pack with the ability to literally just pick it up and run without messing up your back. Now I did have to add a few molle gear attachments to it because it was a bit smaller than my old assault pack, but that just forced me to revise my SHTF kit and condense things a bit further and that was fine by me. I think overall when totally packed it might weigh about 40-50 lbs. I'm 6' 190 lbs. and consider myself in decent shape. Nowadays, I average about a 10 minute mile for 3 miles until i will have to slow to a recon shuffle. All the while the X3 feels very comfortable. I only wish I had this during my time in the Corps.

I got this for a sniper school I was attending and it was everything I needed and more! During some very difficult mountainside climbs in the heat some of the other students wished they had my pack. I camouflaged it up with some spray paint and mesh because I didn't want the solid color and it looked great.

I generally only write reviews when a product is either very bad or very good. The Eberlestock LoDrag bag is absolutely VERY GOOD. I shoot tactical rifle competitions and needed something to allow me to carry my rifle along with all of my other gear comfortably and dependably. I ordered a cheaper bag of similar design recently and on its first outing the shoulder straps tore away from the main bag within 2 hrs. Should have never wasted my money. I knew it was too good to be true. Anyway........
The second you remove the bag from the box you can just feel the quality. It's built like a tank. The pack has a ton of great padding as well as a nice set of shoulder straps and waist belt that can be fully adjusted according to size and amount of load being carried. I loaded mine up with my rifle, 120 rounds of 308 ammo, 50 rounds of 45 ammo, 4-308 magazines, 4-45 magazines, spotting scope, tripod, binoculars, a few hand tools, cleaning rod, shooting glasses, ear protection, log book, 2-20 oz. water bottles and a few other odds and ends. I have no idea of the total weight, but needless to say it was not light. Probably around 50 lbs if I had to guess. Once on and adjusted properly, it's like you're not really even carrying anything. Pretty amazing really. Besides being comfortable, having ridiculously strong stitching and very smooth, easy pull zippers, the pack holds my rifle perfect. FYI to any shooters, I'm shooting a Rem 700 .308, 18.5" compensated barrel sitting in a McMillan A5 stock, 3.5-21×50 Bushnell DMR and a 6-9 Harris Bipod w/ podlock. When in the pack, the Butt sticks out maybe 3 inches or so. They do sell a Butt cover, but I didn't get it. The rifle is very easy in and out. I can't wait to use it at a match. It's an awesome pack and the Unicam looks really cool too. If you are in the market for a well built, comfy, dependable and user friendly pack, go ahead and pull the trigger. You will not be disappointed. Bottom line is you get what you pay for, as is with most things. Buy once, cry once. Get it !!!!!!

Was going to get a similar pack for much less but in the end I got this one and also ordered that similar bag. What a difference...WOW!! Heavier construction with much more attention to detail. If your looking for packs of this type then save yourself a lot of grief and just get this one. This one they really thought about a lot of scenarios while they were putting it together. The extra protection of the bottom on the outside of the gun sleeve. This protects the bag and thus the items inside from outside abrasion, none of the other similar bags even consider this, and that's just one of many, many extras. Well it would be extras on other bags but this is standard on this pack. Sewn webbing is uniform and heavy stitched, adding additional bags is easy and plentiful. In the gun slot I keep my Henry AR7 .22 rifle and my shotgun (basic Mossberg w/ some extra stock additions. Attached left side is shotgun sleeve that I use to hold my Diablo break down re-curve bow and a waterproof box with the bow attachments. Right side is attached is a Fiskar 23" ax and my Gerber machete. Top is attached padded bag that holds my binoculars and is mounted in such a way that I can get them out with the pack on over my left shoulder and still allows me to pull my shotgun quickly out from the right. Sleeping bag & tent cinch up just under the main pack and up against the extended gun sleeve. Finally another bag (small) attached to the back of the pack that is just medical supplies.

Scabbard is well padded, and wide and long enough for a full length Mossberg 590A1 12ga., or an M1A Socom 16 .308 with an EOTech, or an Oneida x80 compound bow. Very versatile. I weighed the pack with everything I wanted in it and it came out a little over 110 lbs but feels like 50 lbs on my back. That is truly incredible. The compression straps and the shoulder straps definitely do their job and the padding for your upper back and lumbar region are impressive at about 2" thick, which leaves the advertised airflow to move through freely, even if you're wearing a bulky sweater. Seams are solid, stitching feels even stronger. There is MOLLE webbing all over the exterior and also on the bottom of the pack which is great to attach a bedroll or sleeping bag, etc.

For those of you wondering how big the interior is, I was able to stuff a full military sleep system and 2 .50 cal ammo cans with the compression straps completely open, and the zippers closed. Then I was able to use the straps and compress it down about 30%. I'm still amazed.

I had ordered the coyote brown but they called and it was out of stock so I switched to the military green. I have to tell you the green looks more of a mix of light brown and gray, with a tiny bit of green thrown in. I don't mind the color, it's not bad, but for those of you who want standard issue olive drab military green, you won't get that.

Great backpack for PRS (Precision Rifle Series) use. Carry what I need for one day match or one days worth of stages. Comfortable, large enough for what I need but not so large I over load it.
